As volunteer CEO and co-founder of the Rotary-supported nonprofit
organization Sustainable Cambodia, I invite you to explore the work
our staff is doing in Cambodian villages. We are a working to help
the residents of these rural villages create a sustainable quality
of life through wells, irrigation systems, schools, training and
empowerment. By our founding principles, only native Cambodians may
be employed as paid staff, and all international officers, directors
and consultants must be unpaid volunteers, ensuring that 100% of
funding goes directly into the rural village programs. Please
explore more about Sustainable Cambodia at
www.SustainableCambodia.org.
In U.S. schools, cliques, bullying and alienation can be
debilitating, as students struggle with an environment that is
anything but conducive to learning. Challenge Day is a unique
program that empowers teens to change their school environment,
ending bullying, alienation and school violence. As a sponsor of
Challenge Day, I invite you to visit www.AlachuaCircle.org to learn
more, or visit Oprah Winfrey’s website and search “Challenge Day”.
